Rotate Video
Rotate your video by 90, 180, or 270 degrees, or flip it horizontally, then download the result — free, private, and processed entirely in your browser.
About the Video Rotator
A video recorded holding your phone the wrong way ends up sideways or upside down everywhere you share it. Our free online video rotator fixes that — rotate a clip by 90, 180, or 270 degrees, with an optional horizontal flip, before saving it back out in a compatible format.
Unlike most online tools, rotation happens entirely inside your browser using the Canvas and MediaRecorder APIs to re-render and re-encode each frame — your video is never uploaded to a server. That keeps it fast, private, and secure, and it works with MP4, MOV, and WEBM files.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which video formats can I rotate?
You can upload MP4, MOV, or WEBM files. The rotated video is exported as MP4 where your browser supports it, falling back to WEBM otherwise.
Can I flip my video as well as rotate it?
Yes. Alongside 90, 180, and 270-degree rotation, there's an optional horizontal flip you can combine with any rotation angle.
Will rotating my video reduce its quality?
The video is re-recorded frame by frame through the browser's MediaRecorder API, which re-encodes the footage — this keeps quality high, but as with any re-encode, it isn't a lossless bit-for-bit copy of the original file. Note that this process also doesn't carry over the original audio track — the rotated preview and download are video-only.
Is my video uploaded to a server to rotate it?
No. The entire process happens locally in your browser. Your video is never uploaded anywhere.
