Convert a color between HEX, RGB, HSL, and CMYK formats — free and processed entirely in your browser.

About Color Converter

Different tools expect colors in different formats — HEX for CSS and web design, RGB for screens, CMYK for print, HSL for intuitive adjustments. Converting between them by hand means remembering (or looking up) conversion formulas every time.

Type in a color in any format and get the equivalent value in the other three instantly, with a live color preview. Everything runs locally in your browser; nothing is sent to a server.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why do I need CMYK if I'm just designing for the web?

You probably don't — CMYK is for print production. HEX and RGB cover virtually all web and screen design needs.

Will the converted colors look exactly the same?

HEX, RGB, and HSL are all different ways of expressing the exact same screen color, so those conversions are exact. CMYK is a print color model that doesn't map perfectly onto every screen color, so that conversion is a close approximation, not a perfect match.

What's the difference between this and your Color Picker tool?

Color Picker extracts colors from an uploaded image; this is for when you already have a specific color code and just need it in a different format.

Is anything sent to a server?

No. Conversion happens entirely in your browser.
